Lists grass-based farms that sell their products directly to consumers.

Massachusetts

Minnesota (and surrounding area)
Stewardship Food Network
A listing of over 100 Land Stewardship Project farmer members who raise sustainable food, including chemical-free fruits, vegetables and grains; antibiotic and hormone free meat, as well as reduced use; free-range chickens and eggs; and milk and cheese from grass-fed cows. The list also includes food co-ops, restaurants, and food processors that carry products grown by LSP members. New York
Farm to Table
Even if you live in New York City, farmers as close as 30 miles away grow delicious food. The Farm to Table directory lists New York-raised fruits and vegetables, wines, free-range and grass-fed meats and poultry, sustainably harvested seafood, prepared foods, and more. The guide covers New York farms, CSA, farmers markets, restaurants and stores. Many farms welcome visitors, offer pick-your-own, or will mail direct. (Earth Pledge)

Eco-Logic
A dynamic resource that helps you locate restaurants that serve vegetarian, free-range, local, organic and other sustainable foods. There are also lists of farmers markets and other food sources. Currently focused on New York City, it will be expanding soon to San Fransisco and other locations.

North Carolina
Local Food Guide
A directory of western North Carolina and southern Appalachian family farms, Community Supported Agriculture farms (CSA), farmers' tailgate markets, grocers, restaurants, caterers and bakers, u-pick farms, apple orchards, and bed & breakfasts that sell locally grown farm products.

Pennsylvania

Sustainable Food Center/Austin Community Gardens
Brings farm-fresh food to low-income neighborhoods in Austin, Texas, and helps promote local food and farms through consumer education and special presentations. A Fresh Local Food guide is available for pick up by any food consumer at SFC's Martin office, 1601 Haskell at the Martin Jr. High School, Portable A4/A3, phone: 236-0074, or at the Sunshine Garden office at 4814 Sunshine Drive (just north of 45th and Lamar), 458-2009. The guide describes contacts, times, locations and seasons for farmers' markets, farm stands and Community Supported Agriculture farms in the Austin area.

2004 Farm Fresh Atlas
Includes descriptions and locations of over 60 farms and food-related businesses that sell products directly to customers in southern Wisconsin. Lists farmers markets, restaurants, food co-ops and other business sponsors that feature locally-grown food. All of the farms and businesses listed in the Atlas pledge to protect the land and water resources, treat animals with care and respect, and provide safe working conditions for their employees.
