WHY: Because this weekend is Earth Day, and un-sustainable food production methods (factory farming) are not only harmful to animals, family farmers, and communities, but they are also a leading contributor to global warming, and a major source of water pollutants and land degradation.
GRACE Factory Farm Project (GFFP) works to help communities protect themselves from the adverse human health, environmental, and socioeconomic impacts of industrial livestock production.
Sustainable Table celebrates the sustainable food movement, educates consumers on food-related issues and works to build community through food.
Food & Water Watch is a nonprofit consumer rights group based in Washington, D.C. that challenges the corporate control and abuse of our food and water resources.
