Informational handouts

Here are some handouts that are great for passing out to your friends and spreading the word at conferences, in classes, and elsewhere in your community.

  • 3 Easy Steps to Sustainability – A great introduction for those who have just learned about sustainability and want to know what to do next.
  • Is Your Meat Fit to Eat?“Is Your Meat Fit to Eat?” – This brochure provides a general overview of factory farms and commercially produced meat. Includes detailed information on the negative effects of factory farming, such as health risks, environmental pollution, threat to family farms, and endangered animal welfare, while also featuring information on why sustainable farming is the solution. This can be downloaded, or you can contact us for copies. Available in English and Spanish.
  • Buy Local – A straightforward, two-page handout detailing the reasons why we should buy local.
  • Glossary of Meat Production Methods – An easy reference of sustainable farming practices and their definitions. Terms include pasture-raised, organic, cage-free, non-confined, no added hormones, no antibiotics, and more.
  • The Issues – A detailed, yet simple overview of many of the problems surrounding factory farming.
  • The Issues (detailed pages) – download PDF versions of one or all of the issues pages from the Sustainable Table site. The issues include Mad Cow Disease, Pesticides, Genetic Engineering, and many more.

The Eat Well Guide

The Eat Well Guide is our online directory for sustainable meat, eggs and dairy. To help spread the word about the guide and direct people to this useful and reliable resource.

  • Eat Well Guide Search Boxes – Put the Eat Well Guide search box on your website! Instead of just having a link to the Eat Well Guide, why not have a fully functioning search box? Visitors to your website can enter their zip code and source preferences and then click through directly to personalized results for local restaurants, farmers and shops in the Eat Well Guide. Simply download these .zip files and add the code to your website to connect your visitors directly to this great resource. Contact us if you have any questions!
