Meatrix II: Revolting Rocks Bowery!
The premiere of The Meatrix II: Revolting was a success! The new film played to a packed house at the Bowery Poetry Club. Friends, family, supporters, members of the media, and people off the street cheered when Moopheus arrived with his date and stepped onto the red carpet, and the crowd cheered again at the end of the film.
Film producers Rebecca and Diane spent a few minutes talking about the story behind the film, and answering questions from those in attendance about the film and the issues it tackles. They spoke of how the film is really just one part of a much larger project that seeks to engage people and provide in-depth information about the issues surrounding factory farming. The idea is to bring people together in a collaborative and educational way that allows them to get involved as much as they feel motivated.
This morning when we came in to work it was exciting to see that more bloggers are picking up the story of the release of The Meatrix II: Revolting. Sightings reported on SuperVegan, at The Food Museum, Axial Tilt, Urban Sprouts, Pixel y Dixel, on Netribution (uk), on Well Fed, and others are still rolling in. Thanks to everyone who is helping to spread the word.
