NEWS: Living on the 100 Mile Diet

In the locavore spirit, two Canadians are attempting to eat only locally-grown foods for an entire year. They'll be chronicling their humorous and valient efforts at The Tyee, an alternative newspaper in British Columbia.

If this first article is any indication, the pieces ahead will be filled with funny, but honest commentary on the expense, effort, and dietary difficulties that can come with a "100 mile diet."

The 100-Mile Diet has gained a significant following since first conceived - read up on our own local project and watch for ongoing seasonal essays, blogs and articles authored by active practitioners in America's heartland.
