Green Screens at the Film Society of Lincoln Center presents “Pig Business“ – NY Premiere, One Night Only! Tuesday, July 14, 6:30 p.m. – with The Meatrix!About Pig Business:
Four years ago, seasoned campaigner, eco-warrior, and mother of three Tracy Worcester set out to discover who was paying the real price for the cheap, imported pork on sale in Britain’s supermarkets. Pig Business follows the director as she infiltrates farms and firms in Europe and North America, uncovering maltreatment, mismanagement, and the damaging effects of intensive pig farming on our food, environment, health, and the welfare of agricultural communities.

Followed by a discussion with Diane Hatz – Founder, Sustainable Table; Executive Producer, The Meatrix; Flying Pigs Farm owners Michael Yezzi and Jennifer Small; and Jillian Gladstone from the Pure Farms, Pure Water Campaign, Waterkeeper Alliance. A reception will end the evening.
Green Screens addresses through film the vital environmental concerns of global warming, the safety of our food supply, sustainable living, and more. Each screening includes a discussion and reception with artists and expert commentators, and invites non-profit organizations and others to raise awareness of the many positive actions we can take. Green Screens is programmed by Sharon Bahus, Isa Cucinotta and Marian Masone.
