  • Sustainable wishes and local dreams…

“Champagne wishes and caviar dreams…” Robin Leach’s signature phrase at the end of the show “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous,” gone, but not forgotten (not by all of us – the show was on from 1984-95). I like to think of the now defunct idea of “rich and famous” being replaced with the new improved version – Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability!

Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability or LOHAS is a conference that Sustainable Table is attending this week. It is business-to-business and focused on health and fitness, the environment, personal development, sustainable living, and social justice. We hope to meet up with people from like-minded organizations to share our wealth of sustainable knowledge and to brainstorm about getting the sustainability message out to more and more people.

If you are going to be there, stop by our booth and say HI – we will be showing The Meatrix and giving away DVD copies too! If you aren’t going to be there, I’ll be updating you (check out www.twitter.com/eatsustainable) about the more exciting parts of the conference… I do see that Coca Cola and WalMart will be there, in addition to Facebook Causes, eBay, Free Range Studios, Gaia, and many, many more – it will be interesting.

    1. I definitely think sustainability is the way forward! Some really interesting points made here!
