I think we all need to find ways, as you've provided, to take power back from agribusiness and give it to a more sustainable agriculture. One way to do this is to "vote" with our dollars, by rewarding retailers and farmers that provide consumers with local, organic goods. I'd like to explore more ways for consumers to get organized and make a difference. I look forward to reading more here at www.sustainabletable.org and http://businessforthebetter.blogspot.com/. I know tons of twenty-somethings who spend all their leftover cash on cell phone, internet and texting bills. You can live life without texting. I just joined a CSA this year and am amazed at a) how little I have to go to the store except for a few stapes and supplemental items and b) how much more cooking I am doing and c) how much more food we get as a result of all the cooking out of what we do buy (from csa or the typical grocer).
