		<description>Though sustainabletable.org has mentioned it before, joining a yard share group on hyperlocavore.com to grow your own food is a great way to save as well. It&#039;s tough to get all the things you need in one person - space, time, green thumb, tools or a  strong back - one or many of these things elude some of us. Find people to grow food with and cut the cost of the food as well as the time you need to spend in the garden (though - a garden is one of the happiest places I can imagine!)</description>

		<description>Buying sustainably raised meat in bulk was the BEST thing we ever did. We found that buy buying half a cow directly from the source, we could match or even beat supermarket prices for lower quality meats.
