Being a huge Bruce Springsteen fan for many years (and looking forward to seeing him in concert in May!), I just had to share this with you….

According to their website, the Hartford Food System is one of the nation’s oldest organizations dedicated to fighting hunger and improving nutrition on the grassroots level. They administer a range of programs, including a parents committee advocating for healthier school meals, a 24-acre nonprofit farm that grows food for local families and social service agencies, three urban agriculture sites on formerly abandoned lots, an inner-city grocery retail project, and extensive outreach and advocacy in the Hartford community.

Springsteen has been letting hunger and food groups table at his shows for years now. On this tour, he’s given the Hartford Food System two pairs of excellent seats for his April 24th Hartford, CT, show. Bruce has even gone as far as to agree to do a meet and greet with the winners if they pay at least $10,000 for the tickets. (Oh, I wish I had ten grand!….) In addition, he’ll match any bid up to $50,000.

The first set of tickets is going to the first bidder of $10,500 or more who emails hmurray@murthalaw.com before April 14th at noon. The second set of tickets will be part of a live auction.

If you’d like to not only see and meet Bruce Springsteen, but you’d like to support a very worthy cause, go to the offices of Murtha Cullina LLP, CityPlace I, 185 Asylum Street, Hartford CT, directly across from the XL Center. If you can’t make it in person, you can participate by phone or by sending in a bid in advance.

If you have questions, please email hmurray@murthalaw.com.
