Hi Louche - we agree, animals are more than commodities!! We educate the public about the problems with factory farming and industrial agriculture and support humane animal treatment, and humane slaughter. I know that "slaughter" doesn't sound humane at all, but if people continue to eat meat (which I think they will) they can make decisions to purchase meat from small farms where the animals have the right to live out their lives as they should, and are slaughtered in the most humane way possible.

Thanks for your comment, we appreciate your thoughts! -Dawn

Wow, dude. I added this blog to my bookmarks as soon as I found it, but I think now it's going bye-bye. I clicked the first link and realized you support slaughter. I thought it was going to be a criticism of slaughter. Animals are, simply put, more than commodities. I don't care if the animal is a human or a dolphin or a lobster. We are talking about creatures capable of suffering and happiness. Where possible, I choose happiness for all of us.
