I've been trying to figure out how to use my large yard in a more socially responsible way. It was great to have a large backyard and woods along with a resonably large vegtable garden when my children were small. It all made sense to have a safe place for them to play so close to our house. Now that my children are grown, the yard seems empty. I enjoy working in the gardens more than ever, but somehow I feel alone. I think I'll figure out who I can invite to come work in the garden for a share of the crops. My wife and I tend not to use all the tomatoes and other veggies anyhow.

I like your idea and intend to act on it. Thanks.

There is a funny food video at this new site I found, LayZgreenPeople but with the y and z inverted. http://www.layzgreenpeople.com/pledges/June_Green_your_Food-17.aspx
