Today’s tip: Try a new recipe.

If you search food blogs these days (the height of veggie season) you will find many people sharing ways to deal with… kohlrabi, zucchini, rhubarb, okra, or other strange or overabundant items in their CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) share or their spontaneous purchase from a farmers’ market.

It’s the healthy Monday thing to do – branch out, try new recipes, spend extra time in the kitchen, share food with friends.

Here are a few blogs that I came across today, talking about what they are going to do with their fun summer food finds:

    Summer Pickles

    Fried Green Tomatoes

    Okra & Watermelon

And you can always check out recipes on the Sustainable Table site (send us your favorites if you would like to share them with other sustainably minded chefs! ps- I am cleaning up the recipes section to make it more user-friendly… please check back soon for hopefully much easier maneuvering).
