Another Great Guest Blogger – Kristy Apostolides
May 2nd, 2008 No CommentsI sort of introduced Kristy Apostolides, our Cretan blogger, the other day… you can check out her first posting here.
Kristy is another sustainable food expert we have had the pleasure of working with lately here at Sustainable Table. Kristy has been so kind as to offer to share with us some international thoughts about sustainable food, as she happens to be currently living in Greece! If you would like to see more musings about her time living abroad, you should check out her personal blog. Read more about her below:
Kristy Apostolides received her B.Sc in Plant Sciences from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York and is currently a Masters candidate in Sustainable Agriculture at the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania, in Crete, Greece. She has nine years experience with organic agriculture in policy and practice and four years experience in training and curriculum development. Prior to pursuing a MSc degree, she was the Community Supported Agriculture Program Manager with a New York City non-profit organization called Just Food. She has organized and presented at over 20 conferences on sustainable agriculture related topics in the United States and Europe and currently serves on the International Committee for URGENCI, an organization which develops local solidarity-based commerce partnerships worldwide.
