Wow, that is so exciting. I'm jealous... waiting, waiting! I did hear that there are asparagus at the Farmers Market today.

Congratulations on joining the CSA!

I first joined a CSA several years ago and love it. Yesterday I learned of a local meat CSA, so I joined that too. Now I'll be getting my vegetables, fruits, dairy, and meat all from local farmers.

Our CSA started in March (Coastal Calif allows it to go almost year round) -- and we joined for the first time. I'm loving the fresh, seasonal veggies and fruit, and learning about new ingredients all the time. Tonight we had mustard greens and shell peas for dinner -- a bit of spring time on the plate! I highly recommend it as a way of supporting your local farmers and enjoying the best your neighborhood has to offer.
