I just came across some interesting stores here in NYC and wanted to share them with you:

Get Fresh: The idea behind Get Fresh is that they do all of the prep work and you take home sustainable meals and prepare them quickly. They are located in beautiful Park Slope Brooklyn and you can either pick up food at their store or have the food delivered… you can even order online! They promise that their products are all sourced from local farmers who practice sustainable agriculture and they even have information about the farms on their website. The biodegradable and compostable containers can be returned to the store or traded with the driver at your next delivery! They are starting cooking classes too.

Goodnight Room NYC: I happen to have lots of babies in my life right now so this caught my eye! Goodnight Room NYC provides everything to help make a baby’s room non-toxic. There are so many problematic items- paint, mattress, furniture, toys, linens- wouldn’t it be nice to know they are completely safe? Not only does this company research all of the materials (also available online), but here in NYC they provide interior decorating services for the baby’s room too.
