  • Check Us Out–Farmer John, Podcasts & More

Some of you may remember that we’ve recently started dabbling in videoblogging. Our first interview (with Jonathon White of Bobolink Dairy in New Jersey and artisan of some of the finest cheese on the Planet Earth) went up back on May 30. Well, we’ve done it again, this time with John Petersen, star of The Real Dirt on Farmer John, founder of Angelic Organics, and author of Farmer John’s Cookbook: The Real Dirt on Vegetables. John stopped by the office a few weeks ago and sat down for an interview with Dawn (coordinator of all things Meatrix-y) and Megan (ST program manager and coordinator of just about everything else). Karen (brilliant web design designer by day, rock star by night) edited the piece and posted it to Blip TV and voila! Cinematic heaven! Oh, but that’s not all…

We’re also podcasting! Although The Meatrix has been available on iTunes for some time, it’s only recently that we’ve started creating our own audio podcasts. You can check it all out on the iTunes site. We’re recording said podcasts via telephone (what they won’t think of next) at Gabcast.com so that we can post our entries from the road. Many of the podcasts will be readings of some of our finer blog posts, but we’ll also be posting some interviews that we record at our events when we hit the road next month.

We’ve also been super busy planning some amazing events and writing some new feature articles for the new Eat Well Guided Tour of America mini-site we’re putting together…check in at www.sustainabletable.org/roadtrip often to check on our progress!
