The Meatrix 2 1/2 and Fast Food Nation

We’re extremely excited to announce that Sustainable Table is working with Participant Productions to help promote the upcoming Fast Food Nation movie and the social action campaign that will follow the film’s release. What’s more, Sustainable Table will be releasing The Meatrix 2-1/2 to help promote the film! No word yet on the Meatrix 2-1/2 release date, but we’ll be sure to email you a link when it’s announced (which should be early November)!

The saga continues…

If you’re not familiar with Participant Productions, they’re the producers that brought us Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth movie, as well as Syriana (George Clooney), and North Country (Charlize Theron) – and that was just their first year in existence! Participant is a movie company with a mission, and each of their films has a social action campaign surrounding it. The Fast Food Nation movie will involve a campaign to motivate consumers to take action about food issues, and when Participant asked Sustainable Table and The Meatrix to help out, we couldn’t possibly turn them down!

The Fast Food Nation movie is slated to be released on November 17th and includes an all-star cast including Greg Kinnear, Patricia Arquette, Ethan Hawke, Kris Kristofferson, Avril Lavigne, Esai Morales, Catalina Sandino Moreno and Wilmer Valderrama (with a sneak appearance by Bruce Willis). And if that’s not enough exciting news, all the Meatrix movies will all be appearing on the DVD release of Fast Food Nation, which will happen in the new year!!!
