NEWS: Mad Cow book – free download

In case you’re interested in reading more about mad cow disease than we provide you on the Mad Cow page on Sustainable Table or on our GRACE Factory Farm site, you can download the book Mad Cow USA by John Stauber for free from the Center for Media and Democracy/PR Watch web site.

It’s been a while since I’ve read the book, but it gives a good history of the disease and what happened in England, where it all started in the 1990’s. The author also talks about the equivalent disease in other animals.

There is still quite a bit not known about mad cow, and some new findings have been made since the publication of the book, so you should supplement your reading of it with more current information.
