The comments are finally working! Please post, and that includes you, cubies – you know who you are.

We dove into the SXSW Music Festival scene today. Or, actually, dipped our little toes in. There are 1300 bands. We managed to see one. Pretty good considering we’re completely wiped out from the web and film festivals. The lead singer of that one is hanging out with Moopheus in the photo.

That’s Matt Hales of Aqualung, who had a sort of Radiohead/Cold Play sound to them. They played at a private showcase at a very fancy hotel to only 20-30 people. It was quite posh, and quite the music scene. If you look at Matt’s right hand, you can see a little white tag. That’s one of our infamous pooping pig keychains. They were not only a hit with the web and film people, the music folk loved them also!

As we left the hotel and were walking down the street (Moopheus by now a very famous face in Austin), we passed by MTV doing a spot on the street. And, look, there’s Jim the Vjay saying ‘hey’ to Moopheus and asking Moopheus his opinion on what bands to see that night….

We walked over to the lounge area, which was a tent outside in a little park. It was surrounded by a gate link fence. Here you can see Moopheus trying to console a lone concert goer/musical festival attendee as he tried to get inside the gated area but couldn’t.

Oh, the rock and roll life – sometimes you’re in; sometimes you’re out.
